Cascina Belvedere Organic Carnaroli Rice

Grown by the Picco family in the province of Vercelli, the heart of Italy’s rice growing region, where every spring the fields are flooded with pure snowmelt from the nearby Alps. Carnaroli rice has been bred to be the best rice for risotto. During cooking the outer portion of the rice kernel dissolves, enhancing the desired creamy texture, while the inner part of the kernel remains firm, an essential quality of a successful risotto.
